Revolvers are not pistols

Some of you need help in the salesmanship department...
" This bore will not bore you! The lands express a great deal of experience while the grooves have been given much love, yet their is still lots for you to love about them! They exhibit great texture and relief, with microscopic crevices that allow for air at the muzzle end to sweep around the bullet at particularly deviated points, providing for the bullet to leave the muzzle at a faster speed! But wait; with a bore like this, you'll be sure to get in some vigorous exercise in thoroughly addressing a restoration of shine, saving you not only money on a gym-membership but the time spent in going to the gym! And just look at that crown; made for a king! Infinitely round, it will give you great service, with lovely ridges and smooth presentation - it's the best crown in town! "
Buy this gun today, and I'll thrown in a free Denman DC04 Carbon Static-Free comb! Just the thing to keep your hair looking its finest on range-day!

But you have to wear a T-Shirt and promise me that the Israelis captured them in WWII right out of Hitler's hands to fight back against the Nazis & were then used by Golda Meir and Dr. Ruth Westheimer as sniper rifles.Comment

Great. Are their collectors that will buy an m48 with a dark pitted bore with strong rifling? I'm thinking I paid too much for this, but I wanna sell it because the sights are to tiny for me. Ugh!Comment

1000 rounds of lead would polish that right up

1. Keep trying to clean the bore. You might be able to make it less dark with more cleaning.
2. If the reason you want to sell it is the rear sight, consider replacing the rear sight http://www.mojosights.com/sample-page/mausers/Revolvers are not pistols

Not a sewer pipe. Just dirty and corroded. Lands/rifling look strong. Should shoot ok.

Funny you mention to keep cleaning the bore, as I was thinking the same thing. Everytime I clean it, black muddy sludge keeps coming out. It's disgusting looking! Can you recommend a good bore cleaner for this bore?1. Keep trying to clean the bore. You might be able to make it less dark with more cleaning.
