Classic M39's

So it looks like classic has more of the m39s available with damaged stocks. I know there's a mixed reputation for them but I've had decent luck. Already have one on the way to Aces pawn. 290 for G condition VKT up to 340 for Ex. Sako is 30 more.

I have one m39 already, but you see, I need two.

There are tons of cheap and very clean M39 surplus stocks floating around, so a very cheap fix to get a turnkey rifle.

Indeed a good stock and hand guard can easily run $200

Stay away from Classic M39's unless you're looking for an overpriced, over graded project that was held by the sweaty fat man.

What would I pay and what they're going for are two different things. B barrel M39's are going for exorbitant prices lately, $500 and up easy. I have a mint round receiver B barrel M39 that I wouldn't let go for triple that.

$350-$400 is what I paid for the last three I got over the last year or so

Two years back I bought one from Classic for $450, it had a broken stock along with some other gouges. I sent it back. Apparently many others had similar experiences. And these are those send-backs.

You want an excellent example of M39 on the cheap. Good. I'm looking for prime porterhouse steak at a jumbo-jack price. Working together we should find something.

Everybody else always paid less for a better M39 yesterday.

IMO $290 isn't bad if you're any good with stock repair.

I know enough to repair stocks and if worse comes to worse I'll rig something.

Oddly I took my M39 and my nicer 91/30 out to get a feel for them both, and the best groups of the day were my 91/30 with handloads. Managed a single ragged hole at 50 yards for 5 shots, but the M39 was doing 2" with winchester and PPU match. Gotta get some loads made for it too.

Doesn't help that I flinch like a panzy whenever I fire them

"Meh...ehh...meh.....chortle....I paid $29 for a pristine M39 back in my day and they had barrels of them...heh heh...snort..and match grade ammo was dirt cheap too....eeggh...y'all today are paying sucker prices...don't ya wish you were around back in our day...huzza wuzza.
