    Congrats. The M44 is such a fun little plinker, recoil is hardly noticeable.

      I'm not going to lie..... sometimes I swing out the bayonet and have at cardboard boxes in my backyard. When that gets boring, try to find an m38, or my personal favorite, a 91/59. All 3 are fun little carbines.

          My M44 kick aint so bad shooting off hand, hitting what I am shooting can be a challenge. OTOH shooting from a bench is pure bliss...

                  I always shoot mine with the bayonet extended, thats how they are supposed to be used with the bayonet open.
