Great information and answer. Thank you for your knowledge sir.Simson & Suhl Co was the manufacturer for police P-08's in the 1920's-early 1930's. When Hitler came to power, the company was put out of business. The company was Jewish owned.
My guess is, that because of the low serial #, it might have been made in 1922. I believe that was the first year the company went in business making Lugers for the police. Most of the parts were made during WWI, and reworked and built by Simson & Suhl.
