    Transport/shipping a C&R long gun

I have a C&R license. I want to mail a C&R long gun to myself; from CA to OR. I will time it so that it is I who take receipt of my C&R at the other end. (I mail the rifle to my dad's PO box and I am up there before the rifle actually arrives. I then pick it up from the post office; not my dad or anyone else).
    Is this legal?
I should add that the box will be addressed me, care of my dad's PO box address.

I think you're ok to just drive with it up there. CA law says you can transport a firearm from point A to B. They don't specify what "B" is. Could be a range, your new house, to an FFL to do a PPT. Just keep it locked up safe away from ammo and you shouldn't be in trouble.

If you aren't driving then you should be able to mail it to yourself as long as your 03 license reflects your new address that you're mailing it to.
I'm sorry I can't reference anything to law. I just kind of keep these things in mind when I'm transporting firearms.

Also, local usps postal employees may not be as knowledgeable in the laws, be prepared to get hassled. Or ship ups/fedex. Usually they are much more cooperative.

Screw usps if they hassle you get postmaster out of the john. I use usps usually no problem. Plain package no label indicating firearm inside.

I could be mistaken, but I believe you can only ship interstate to the address on your 03 FFL.

USPS allows an individual to ship to themselve in all us states. Take off your 03 hat and put in drawer.

So long as they are long guns. Handguns would still be a no go.

              Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.
