The Swiss would have chewed even the best of the Wehrmacht to pieces. Just one of those fortified positions could hold up entire divisions probably for days on end. Great photos!

Cool photos.
Hitlers' boys didn't have much trouble with the Maginot line in France, and this fortification would not have been much trouble either. Probably some other reason he stayed out of Switzerland.

I once read a book about Switzerland in WW2. I think I remember it saying the Nazis could have taken over but the effort and losses did not make it worth it. Also there was some political reasons. It was planned but like the invasion of England was never carried out.
