had my first audit last summer, the inspector asked to see my non-C&R personal firearms. I just told the guy to go F himself. Remember to stand your ground and never bend over.

was he just seeing if he could getaway with it or did he think thats normal?

it was at my place. I presented the log book, told him that I have nothing C&R to show him since the the license hasn't been used yet. Then he wanted to see my other personal firearms. I told him it won't happen cause I don't have to show him sh** other than C&R items purchased after the license has been issued to me. The inspector then started BSing about how he work closely with the CA DOJ, thus must report to the authority if he sees any questionable items. I thanked him for the information and replied since no such thing is mentioned in the C&R FFL handbook, he is gonna see s***.

The inspector backed off from that point on. The dude was kinda weird, he talked too much for a federal investigator, like spend the next hour talking about his troubled teenage son and previous careers.

I had an 03 for one 3 year cycle. Never audited. Glad that it's gone so I don't have to deal with this kind of stuff anymore either.

For whatever it's worth, a lot of the people doing inspections of licensees are just that, "Inspectors", not Special Agents. Inspectors are not LEOs. All they can do if they are unhappy about something is tattle to a real SA.
