Type 99 Arisaka with Mum Value

    Found one out of state.

Mum intact, not last ditch, has AA sights. Overall decent condition.

$425 shipped, factor in DROs of $75 and $36 for sales tax. $536 OTD.

Am I overpaying? Or would you say this is acceptable per todays market considering the mum / AA sights.

    Thank you all in advance.

I would pass... Way to much money. If it was in excellent 98% + condition, and all matching, then it would be okay.
    Poke'm with a stick!

Can't give any idea of value without pictures.

            The stock looks sanded.

You want at least 2 out of 3, if not 3 out of 3.
            1. All matching
            2. Unsanded stock
            3. Intact mum

So if it is all matching and has an intact mum it would OK. But if it is mismatched and has a sanded stock, you should pass at that price despite the intact mum.

No way I'd pay that much for a sanded T99, unless it was some rare variant or something.

Bolt does not match, not sure about the sanding but i'll take your word for it. But the 3 point rule makes sense.

PS. Thank you all for the help, the quest will continue on.

not everybody cares about sanded stocks, intact mum, matching bolt. you can find a nice shooter locally for about 300 tops . If you want all the bells and whistles 400 up.

In tact mum and matching numbers at a minimum, then try to get one with AA sights, dust cover and monopod

Seems too pricey. So does $75 for DROS. What part of Kali are you in? PAX

It seems a bit high for a t 99 also finding 7.7jap is not easy to get almost as bad as the 6.5jap.

South Bay (LA) unless I drive to OC or West Covina I know Aces pawn and a Calgunner vendor that do $50 transfers. But the 2x drive kills me as of lately.

No go IMO. $400 OTD tops, and that's if I desperately needed it. $325 if I didn't particularly need it.

The price isn't bad. It is the transfer fee, dros, and tax that kill the deal.
