Where is the M1918? Collection won't be complete until a BAR is siting in the safe.

I'm joking (sort of). But I am jealous. Very nice collection.

Surprised you don't have a 91/30 in there. And 1903.
        Very nice collection!!!

Actually, have never seen a semi auto grease gun - but would love to get my hands on one. We MIGHT also get a new MP-44 clone soon as well. (cross your fingers)

As I waited for the guy to walk out the door so I could pounce on these the guy asked if the shop would give anything for them, he ended up leaving both rifles there for a box of 30-06.

I kept my mouth shut but it was hard as hell.
I have been in these situations too and I like you did not say anything. Good move you made. It is rude as hell to do so. Once deal is refused it is fair game but I keep it discreet. A few years ago I got a Type 38 and a single shot Remington 22lr for $80 out the door. Shop did not want them or wanted to give the guy like $20.

The gun shop called the Arisaka a Turk Mauser. Another time a shop did not want a Chinese SKS and a M44 I was offered a shot at them by owner of shop but at time I didn't want them. Another time I agreed to buy a gun from a guy trying to sell them or consign them to the shop in front of me.

I told shop I'd pay the consignment fee and just do a PPT right then and there. They appreciated me not trying to horn in on their deal, only charged me 10% and the seller was happy he got immediate money. Seems he was a known customer as was I.

If you are going to butt in expect to be shown the door and also it is not a good idea to do that in places where you have a working relationship with the workers and owner. A guy I know tried to do that once in front of me in a shop I had been going to for 10+ years. I told him if he was ever going to do that again or act like a know it all not to go to gun shops with me anymore.

Nice collection! You know for gun nuts like us, collections are never really done...you still need an M1 Carbine, 1903A3, 91/30, G43, Type 38 just to name a few

                      Nice collection

Now you still need all the WWII sniper rifles . . . .

                      And the handguns

                      Just kidding

                      Congrats !

                        very nice collection
I've never really been interested in any other WWII firearms except those from America. As you can see, there is always something to add to make your collection more complete.
I would have to say a M1 carbine for sure. (i love mine and so will you)
Congratulations !! Hope you enjoy your collection on the range.

Nice collection! I wish I had started collecting old milsurps long ago.

I saw something that you WWII collectors may be interested in at the Pasadena Turners a couple days ago. They had a Johnson model 1941 on consignment for $4000. I don't know much about them, but it looked to be in good condition to me.

But where's the BAR, Thompson, or the belt feds?

What really struck me about your pictures of your great collection (other than the missing M1 Carbine....6 million manufactured and I have one...and so will you), is the dominance of the bolt action across most of the nations involved. It just shows how cutting edge the M1 Garand really was in its day.

                                You need a type 38. I need a 99 but I think everyone should have a 38. They're great.
