another new addition... 1943 Underwood M1 Carbine

Had the opportunity to add a very clean and parts matching 1943 M1 Carbine to my collection- I obviously took it! Super happy, very clean with a great stock and crisp cartouches. The metal is in fantastic shape as well, shinny/bright bore. Wanted to share some pics...

Nice carbine, but just so you know, a correct parts matching Underwood carbine would not have an adjustable sight, bayonet lug or flip safety.

Beautiful rifle, but as far as I know, Trickster is right. M1 Carbines seems to be one of those collectible rifles where there were a lot of variants and a lot of them became mixmasters during re-arsenaling, just like their big brothers, the Garands. Bet it will be a nice shooter too!

Understood, that's why I called it a parts matching... not "all original". The receiver, barrel, LW stock and hand guard, trigger housing and all the trigger components are marked "U".
