      Thanks, '-40! I know what you mean about the variations of the M48 Yugoslavian.

      One question...I assumed that the Syrian would be a 48BO, which I thought had a stamped floor plate. Does your syrian have a milled or stamped plate?

          I have seen M48BOs with milled and stamped parts. I think that BO just stands for export model. The quality of the gun and parts would have been up to the terms of the contract.

            With minimum maintenance, the M48 would survive a nuclear blast. One of the funnest to shoot / collect and most over built bolt guns ever.

              That's great that it's in such a clean condition when you received it. That means it was properly cared for by the previous owner. You've scored once again.

                  This one has obviously seen some use, but still seems to have some life left in it. I'll shoot it and post a range report.
