      The CEO of the CMP posted today that they should run out of M1 Garands in mid 2017, give or take a bit.

      12-18-24 months

        Here is what Mark Johnson wrote:

        "If we do not receive anymore we will run out mid-2017 at current rate of sale. Of course we have a few external factors that might enable us to make it through to the end of 2017 or fall short."

        What he says is interesting because in 2012 after the national matches my wife and I received a personal tour of the CMP facilities at Anniston and at that time (before Sandy Hook) they estimated they had a 10-year supply of M1's. It would be interesting to know what the current rate of sales are compared to the peak sales after Sandy Hook.
