Brought My M91/30 Mosin-Nagant Home Today

Well today was the day to pick up my new addition to the collection. She's in great shape. Laminated stock, hex receiver 1933 izzy. All the numbers match which is pretty cool. The barrel is in great shape, bolt is nice and tight and only minor stock scratches. Without a doubt this is the best $99.00 rifle I've bought. Ammo is being delivered tomorrow, with luck maybe Saturday I'll be at the range..

I'm not sure what those numbers are. The number is not 313 but 316. They may have been the orginial numbers since the receiver, bolt, magazine bottom plate and butt plate all have that number. The serial number used for the dros is laser engraved on the side of the receiver by the importer CAI.

I purchased this from my local Big 5 store. They had this one and one that didn't have a laminated stock. Both where in really good condition. I choose this one because of the laminated stock and the hex receiver plus it seemed to be in just a little bit better condition. Now if it only shoots as good as it looks.........

When I went to pick my rifle up last night the other M91/30 was still on the rack.

I have to agree with you, it was a lucky find. Now if I can find a M39 or M44 in just as good condition......

Those wood stocks look fantastic. However I think those would over do the old lady. Got to remember it only cost $99.00 and I plan on not spending a bunch of money on it.
