    St. Marie-Swiss Products

Here's my K31 with the St.Marie-Swiss Products ( http://www.swissproductsllc.com/ ) clamp on steel mount. Also had Cechmauseritis (Pete Ogden @ Swiss Rifles Message Board) make me a sweet cheek pad. Nothing permanent.

You can see pics of the various ones at the Swissrifles website here:

Wow, those are some seriously funky looking scopes. Those are periscope type optics in the first four K31/42-3 variants, right? Any idea what the the dia. of the scope bodies is on those things (14mm?)?

Also, can a ZfK55 scope mount be fitted onto a regular K31? I would imagine you would need to cut the stock and drill & tap, but is that it or is the receiver machined differently or something like that?

They are expensive and out of stock, but it appears that somebody is making period correct ZfK55 scope mounts with a std Weaver rail. The ZfK55 mount seems to be a very fast QD type system from the looks of it.

Wow, that's a really nice piece man. We need more pics, and some targets. How does that beauty shoot?

How much do you think he would he charge to make another cheek piece like that? (maybe with a different design if that's a one off, but just because it looks so comfortable, utilitarian, and correct on the rifle).

On another note, I was looking through that site and found this guy's website. I guess his handle is Intruder, looks like an older Swiss gentleman with a bunch of really nice rifles, but also a willingness (and $$ability$$) to really play around with K31s. His site is all in French, but you can just click on the various links to his rifles. There are so many pics, you really don't need to read about it anyways. I am going to put a few of them up here just because it can be hard to navigate a website in another language, but I really recommend looking through his site for cool ideas about stuff to do with K31s.

He has things like this "old style sniper"

Or this one using a Comblock POSP optic:

Here is another in which he put a sweet target diopter setup in:

**(the above pics are, again, from "Intruder"'s website. I put them into my photobucket to avoid hotlinking, but the images are his and are only reproduced for reference within the confines of fair use)**

He also had a few which had ruined stocks, so he went full bore and turned them into modern style sniper rifles (he seems to really like the gray pattern):

It actually looks like he has three different versions of this one, or at least a few different stocks.

Another one even looks to have been a beat up ZfK55 (or at least has ZfK55 scope mounts put in) with a stock he talks about trying to save and eventually just giving up and painting. It has a crazy period correct muzzle-brake/flash-hider. He also fabricated a 12 round magazine from a pair of 6 rounders (although he says it only works right with 9 rounds or less).
