    swiss k 31 scope mount

Of the few old rifles that I own the one I like the most is my swiss k31. I did use the search and it was too much info , so here I go . Does anyone have a scope mount that the really like and would recomend . I did meet a guy at the Del Mar gun show who was making an aluminium mount. He was from Ohio ,but I lost is card. I would prefer steel.

If you dont have any luck, try Graf & Son they have a aluminium clamp on but they only have 5 in stock, for about 70 bucks

I use the full-size, steel clamp-on accumount for my K31. I took it to the range yesterday and it held zero very well; it let me know I have a horrible trigger jerk.

      It's $70:

Brownells used to have the steel ones but not anymore. They have the same mount made of aluminum for $66 here.
I have one just like that and it is rock solid, it went through more than 500 rounds and it keeps the zero no problem.

Updated: I was wrong, they still have the steel mounts for $115 here.
My opinion? Not worth the price difference. The aluminum one is just as solid and much lighter.

This is the one I'm using, also available at Brownells(~$65): http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/sto...0SCOPE%20MOUNT
The only issue I have with it is that ejected brass bounces off the scope and back into the receiver. I find I have to tip the rifle to the left when working the bolt to make sure the brass comes out.

I have [2] K-31's with the aluminum mounts and K4 Weaver scopes .
The best addition to one of them was the clamp on compensator.
If you want to challenge yourself ,try the mojo open sights w/the compensator.

Where do you get those clamp on compensators?

The K31 itself was never issued with a scope. They were known as K31/xx variants, and ZKF 55. The sniper variant uses a different stock and a left side mounted scope. The scopes were different through the years.

You can see pics of the various ones at the Swissrifles website here:

There is few written about the sniper rifles based on the K31 so we better start doing so. The book Die Repetiergewehre der Schweiz says that there we
