ATTN: I placed a WTB ad for M1 Carbine and almost got scammed

Beware of placing a WTB ad on here. I placed one for a M1 carbine and received a message from member coltprag:
"Hi,I can help you out with a lead. Please contact James on cvtlopet@gmail.com regarding your request. He is located in Owensboro, KY 42301 and the last time i talked to him, he had for sale. I purchased items from him in the past and they arrived in TOP condition. His cell # 606-375-4958. You can Text or call.Thanks ".
I sent an email to the person I was referred to and got a reply with a pic of m1 carbine with ammo and 2 mags shipped for $800. Too good to be true right?
I almost went for it except he would only accept a western union wire transfer. I offered a western union money order. He only accepts wire transfer and says he wouldn't rip me off since he was a referral. I decided to look up member coltprag and this person was banned and had opened their calguns account 2 days ago. I don't want anyone else to fall for this scam. What else should I do?

You should notify Kestryll or a mod so they can properly deal with it and stop further scams.

Make sure to get a USGI M1 carbine, they are the most reliable. Keep an eye out in the marketplace too and look for sellers with good ratings that have been around for a while. Hope you get a nice one soon.

Upper right hand corner, just above the users join date, iTrader rating, etc, there is a red triangle with a " ! " in it. Click on that and it will take you to a report page, just like reporting a post.
