Can you build an AR for ~$250? That's all this rifle is worth.

Word. It's worth about a complete lower, not a whole rifle.

Is it Rock Island Or Springfield? If it's a Springfield, it would be considered a low number unsafe to fire. They had issues with single heat treatments making the receiver brittle. What's the barrel date?

I put about 1K rounds thru my old "low" numbered springfield 03...I still have a face.

From what I've heard they are not all bad but there's no way to tell which receivers were over heated.
