I have never been on a ship, nor will I ever be on a ship because I am a fmf corpsman. From my understanding, when you are out on sea, you where a reflective vest with a blinking beacon. I like our NWUs, they fit well and are comfortable. I wear the Marine uniform everyday and I am a ground pounder, so do quote me on that.Comment

That is my take on the IDF. I love the IDF style, but I like mid length more than carbine, so that is what I went with. I have been looking for a while for an A1 to replace the A3 upper, though I love the LMT BUIS. I have since replaced the Ergo grip with the good old A2 grip.
One of the things I like most about the IDF rifles is they are pretty much the same rifles we carried when I was in the USAF in the early 90s.
Oh so lightweight and compact.
I still have the tricked out modern rifles with all the bells. I just wanted one basic KISS AR that was as close to what I was issued as possible.Comment

Shaved off my FSB so I could put on a Troy MRF-MX. I got a great deal on eBay for the Troy rail, 3 Troy rail covers, and a set of Troy flip sights all for under $400.
Here she is now

Dear California,
I love you. I was born and raised in you. You have given me some of the best times of my life. Now with that said, I can not wait to move!

It is a great little scope. I like it a lot. The eye relief takes a little getting used to because it is close. Having a monolithic type rail really helps. It stays zeroed because I have a really good mount for it. There is no point getting the scope and having a cheap mount, it will only disappoint you. I had a CAA mount and I hated it.
Here is one of my carbines (I am a mid length guy, but still have a couple carbines) with a Gen 1. I like this mounting set up too. I used this set up for several competitions back in AZ and placed really well. The scopes does take a lot of practice to get good with especially in close quarters where you need fast target acquisition.
Millet Scope
GG&G extended scout mount
Millet rings
RRA 2 stage trigger
MIAD full grip kit
Emod stck
Troy drop in rails
Vltor scout mount
G2 Surefire Light
Surefire rubber ladder rails
Knights Vert Grip
P Mag
511 Sling

My SU-16
Here's a few pics taken by my friend of my rifle and kit. They are a bit old, taken sometime little over a year ago; I have since repainted the rifle with some desert shadows and dapple patterns, but I think these pics are still nice enough to share!
