My pictures are embarrassingly bad, these turned out the nicest. Anyways, I built this 100% my self. ASA side charging upper with a Spike's Tactical lower.

Very nice, how do you like the Side CH as opposed to the normal AR CH? You really need a 10/20 mag in there though, looks kinda funny with only a 10/10 in there

The side charging design is really neat. You can see in the picture the handle folds out of the way, what you cannot see is that the handle doesn't recipricate with the bolt (unlike an AK for instance, which is definetly a plus). Definetly easier to use if you have any optic on your rifle. The funny thing is the top charging handle feels normal, once you use the side charger I think it makes the top charging handle feel small and akward.

I have 10/20, it is kind of junky. I think it will work in this lower, it didn't like my Mega lower though. I am saving the 10/20 for a retro build, I am going to build a 601 on this, which I should receive in a couple of days:

Here is my second self loading .223. It is my first one built by myself. It is a Stag 2H upper, Stag lower with a Bulllet Button. I assembled this afternoon (boy I was nervous the first time I did this) and a Tapco Adjustable stock. I still have to figure out what Optic to use, but will stick with the metal sights for now.

p.s. the overall length is over 32 inches with the stock retracted as far as it will go.

Built my first one today, going to a bag of parts, an upper, and a stripped lower took less than 20 minutes following the Cal-Guns "How to" guide, thought it would be more complicated. Only hard part at all was tightening the butt-stock lock ring jobber, I didn't have the right tool luckily I have a set of aluminum pliers I made for another project and they worked perfectly, no marks or scratches. It's all Double Star parts except or the lower which is CMMG.

On;y problem so far was that while I was testing the it of my custom P-Mags the bullet-button came loose, I tightened it down better and if that doesn't work I'll order the special tool or it and put a dab of blue loc-tite.

                              I'll post better pictures later.

Special tool? The tip of a bullet is a special tool.
