About time I finally put something up...
This was the pre Christmas configurations:
Top: SU-16 w/ an Eotech
Middle: CMMG lower, RRA 2 stage parts kit, RRA free float ultralight upper, aluminum free float tube, RRA brake, aimpoint on GG&G mount w/ 3x on flip mount running the prototype Range Safe Mag Lock.
Bottom: STAG-15, RRA 2 stage trigger, RSML, RRA 20" Bull Barrel A3 upper, Magpul stock, Leupold 3-9x40 VX-II Riflescope
The middle carbine has been reconfigured recently but that upper is my goto upper and sits on different lowers depending on my whim of the day.

Quick question, Ive discovered the mag lock from this site and noticed everyone using a type of one, how legal does it make the ar, im buying the bullet button and im just wondering if I was to reload a mag off the rifle and then putting it in using the mag lock, bullet button device is that ok to do or do you need to shotgun the rifle open to reload it legally? Ive read a few things about maybe a loophole with using a tool to remove a mag might be ok rather then ejecting it with the release button. Will post my pictures once I receive the BB so I dont offend anyone.sigpicComment

I used to use the Prince50 mag lock but have since gone to the bullet button... Have used it at several ranges without incident. A Cartridge is considered a "tool", thus useable to remove the mag from the rifle. The bullet button makes loading so much easier. If you still don't feel safe, install the Prince 50 and go shooting; however you will soon find out how much of a pain it is to break the rifle open to load rounds, and to keep it open for the range officer to check during cease fire...NRA Member, CAPRC MemberComment

With a bullet button you can drop the magazine, which is why anyone buys the bullet button and why it made it such a great idea.
The Prince 50 is to be locked at all times in CA. If you go outside CA or remove the evil features just turn the screw and it works like a normal release.Comment

Hey there, are you wondering about the mechanics of how the bullet button works? I guess I misunderstood your original question...
With the bullet button installed, you would use the tip of a cartridge, or screwdriver, or anything that can fit into the hole of the locked button and press, and the mag will drop out of the magwell as normal. Load the mag then reinsert into rifle, close bolt then shoot. You will not need to break the rifle open at all.NRA Member, CAPRC MemberComment

Just remember.. with a OLL and with 2 or more evil features and a Bullet Button.. you still must use ONLY 10rnd mags!!!'Just Don't Point, Squint, and Laugh! '
