That is a fabulous Alby. I have not seen another one with that sort of wood. The two I own are nice, but they are both in the baby poop yellow color. An early model, all matching, and not beat to hell is quite a find.

P.S. That correct sling is quite a rare bird too.

I don’t want to hog the thread, so I will just post one for now. This Romanian SKS is matching and correct down to the smallest detail. It appears to have never been fired or fielded whatsoever.

Romanians are not Uber rare like Albanians, but they are still uncommon. They have also usually seen hard use. This one somehow stayed tucked away for a few decades.

          Thanks!

She's got some wear on the bluing--half of the receiver cover is in the white-- and the bolt wear looks like she's seen a lot of "range time" .

Not sure exactly how it happened, but I was the only bidder in a 2 week auction several years ago.

The sling was hard to find, and it was not cheap.

              Slovenian Garda parade rifle?

Not an easy rifle to come by. And not cheap, either.

              Nice catch.

                  Nice looking carbine.

But it's not a 1951. Looks like one of I.O. sneaks from Albania.

It was originally Soviet military aid to Albania. And it got imported mistakenly as a Chinese Type56.

The curved gas port and the double indent tabs on the gas tube release lever indicate mid 1954 or later production. And the apparent absence of a star on the left side of the receiver narrows the date further to 1954 or 1955.

Does the stock have a matching serial number?

I concur with Boris above. Still a very nice rifle.

There are still a few jewels out there if you are willing to search. The last couple Chicoms I acquired are in stellar shape:
