This is my featureless rig. I'd say this is as AR as it gets...

Thought I'd post this here to show my featurless Scar 17. Got to Kydex wrap my HDD Ergo grip with a shelf. It had the beavertail but I cut it off as it was getting in the way of getting my thumb around the grip. The shelf helps keep the bottom of my palm for better grip retention like a large magwell does on a pistol. I would use the saftey as a thumb rest with the 45 degree throw on the saftey. It can also work as a monopod with the Atlas legs down.

I further molded the finger grooves with my heat gun using gloved hands.

            Mm I love a scar. But I hate uggs. It's a dilemma.

I worry that it protrudes too much but like the look more than the alternative.

Thanks. It's one of my favorite to shoot next to my ar pistol. Such a light gun and very accurate.

A lot of operators, including myself, will pass on this featureless fad. It may work well, allow for a fully functioning weapon, and increase the utility of the weapon, but the goofy fin does not promote or enhance my overall high speed warrior image at the range.

I don't argue that it is a nifty gadget for the pedestrian class plinking away at some pile of dirt, but I highly doubt anyone could maintain control of the weapon during a combat roll type insertion, or dual wield to provide superior suppressing fire superiority to cover your bro's on the exfills..

                            Just my thoughts.

Haven't tried to weigh it yet.
I'll see if I can later.

This is why I have the MIAD grip.
Less than a minute, I can remove the fin and have a regular pistol grip.
