Like I said, it functions like a normal AR-15. The rifle is called the SCR by Ares. They made a special rat tail bolt carrier that gets pushed back downwards at an angle when a cartridge is detonated. The gun is still semi-auto.

Colt LE6920 Upper with KAC Carbine RAS, Trijicon Acog TA01, KAC SR-30 lower with full ambi-dextrous controls, Magpul Miad grip with Exile Machine backfin and pinned Magpul ACS stock

Running without a compensator...still not sure what kind of brake I want to use.

That is exactly the point. No BB, and can use standard capacity mags, assuming you had them already.

yes, we can use magazines of any size in our featureless rifle when they don't have a maglock. many of us have "pre-ban" large-cap mags that we enjoy using in our featureless rifles. even for rifles in which I do not have large-cap mags, I would prefer to go featureless so I can easily drop my mags and not have to deal with an annoying maglock.

    No offense.
They represent the market beating the gun grabbers with ingenuity, and that makes them beautiful, no matter how Buck Rogers they look.

    (featureless builder here btw)

Hate to be a ninny, but the FSC in FSC556 stands for Flash Suppressing Compensator. Might not be the wisest choice on a "featureless" build. FYI, they do make one without the flash suppressing tines on the end. It's called the TTO.

    BTW, very nice looking rifle!

Had to cut the length of the nuts as it went beyond the thickness of the 2 sandwiched Kydex. I used some tools (end of sharpie marker) to get a tight fit on the edge of the grip shape. Used my Dremel with a cutting wheel and to keep steady, my palm bracing agaist the table to trim it. I traced some cutting guidelines in pencil. Overall I like how it turned out. Anyway to get that BB off my rifle.
