love this gun. want to build one just like it. can you list all the components in your build? Here's my AR... It's not quite featureless yet but just getting started. I have had the Hammerhead for quite some time and never really got comfortable behind it. Until one day my buddy gave me his used Mako Magwell grip and I had a bright idea! I just drilled 1 hole and used a screw to hold both together securely. It feels very comfortable now and just wondering what you guys would think about it. Haven't shot with it yet but its quite an improvement overall feel with the just the Hammerhead.
FYI my rifle is not featureless and all I did to it was the grip mod. The stock is not pinned and the Pmag is blocked @ 10, thanks!

I decided to paint my blemished Hammerhead, and for some reason it took over my rifle and never stopped until all the goodies are gone then pulled my index finger to drop my mags.
Now range time will be next to see if he really belongs there!

can someone explain to me what makes adding the finger grooves that resemble a pistol grip legal? Here's my AR... It's not quite featureless yet but just getting started. Sure... Finger grooves have nothing to do with the definition of a pistol grip.
CA 11 CCR 5469(d) says "pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon" means a grip that allows for a pistol style grasp in which the web of the trigger hand (between the thumb and index finger) can be placed below the top of the exposed portion of the trigger while firing.
As long as the grip keeps the web of your firing hand above the yellow line in the picture above, you could have finger grooves or no finger grooves as you like. It's not a pistol grip.
Actually you can wrap your hand around a Hammerhead grip, and the DOJ has testified that it's legal when used on a featureless rifle.Manufacturer of CA AWB Compliance Products from Oct 2009 to Nov 2018Comment
