Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

Not for domestic production if it 100% or close to it.

If we presume that he was talking about 922(r), then the law says:
              (r) It shall be unlawful for any person to assemble from imported parts any semiautomatic rifle or any shotgun which is identical to any rifle or shotgun prohibited from importation under section 925 (d)(3) of this chapter as not being particularly suitable for or readily adaptable to sporting purposes except that this subsection shall not apply to—
Of course, if it's made 100% in the U.S., then the parts count will not be a factor. If one were to buy one of these, then change parts back so it has more than 10 imported parts, it would be a violation of 922(r)

The language of 922(r) refers to manufacturing, so there is no reason to think it would not apply to domestic manufacturing.

However if the majority of components are actually USA made it shouldn't be a problem

Maybe. But it's no different from the business model of ArmaLite, Springfield Armory, Rock Island Armory, Henry Repeating Rifles, etc, etc.

Stamping a well-known traditional name on a completely unrelated product is a time-honored and highly successful business practice in this industry.
