Has anyone else had that problem before?
I've heard of similar things happening. FUD filled FFLs don't understand the concept that a lower is not a semi-auto, center-fire rifle and freak out when they see it with an open mag well and a pistol grip.

I thought that sounded fishy to me too...

The way I've always understood that is that a lower doesn't constitute an "assault weapon". I guess you could throw it at somebody, but...

Either way, it looks like I'll be waiting a little longer for my lower, which I'm really happy about...

The lower IS considered a firearm. It's serialized. It's that without an upper it's neither semi automatic, or centerfire.

          Their house, their rules.

You didn't contact them before receipt to ask specifically about that?

MANY FFLs won't accept like that.

An adjustable stock like the Magpul PRS(precision rifle stock) is NOT a telescoping stock....

OP: if you want to use "larger than 10" magazines, your best bet is MMG.... and A2 + MMG is pretty killer tight... so... you may as well stick with that...

Recently I found myself "pushing" for Troy's 18" Perimeter Rifle upper.... you can order it directly from Troy... it is GOOOD~~~

I asked, and I told them what I wanted them to take delivery of. I even told them what brands I was ordering and told him that one of the receivers was a complete lower...

I didn't think it was necessary to mention what grip or what stock it came with. If that was a sticking point, shouldn't he have asked me while I had him on the phone?

Complete lowers aren't a common thing for dealers. I would have brought it up, but hindsight is always 20-20.

For the benefit of others doing the same, if you're ordering a complete lower or rifle, you'd be best off asking what configuration the dealer is willing to accept.

                Sorry for your experience.

Well, it was my first time ordering a lower, so I guess I could have known quite a bit more about the ins and outs...
