You have to have a sightline from your rear BUIS to your front sight aligned through the optic. You definitely don't have that.
i know how it works except i overlook the eotech and my casv buis..didn't got enough time play with it..

my aimpoint is perfectly co witnessing with my Troy Iron sights..

If you are using the CASV riser, the LT150 and the EOtech 553 will both be way too high. To achieve proper lower 1/3rd cowitness with the CASV installed, you need a LT-152 mount for the Aimpoint. To lower 1/3rd cowitness with the EOtech, you need to have a model with the thumbscrew, none of the throw lever eotech can achieve proper cowitness with the CASV.

That is why riser handguard systems suck.
Get a barrel nut mounted FF system or a KAC RAS2.

I like the aimpoint for it's long battery life, simple design and durability. However when when I was looking to purchase an optic for my rifle my budget only allowed me the to buy an optic and not a base. So I went with a
Eotech 512 instead. I used my optic for several classes some of which were held in the heavy rains found in GA and it held up fine.

I like my Eotech just fine but would have like an aimpoint. However if money was not an issue I would have gone for an ACOG.

If I was going to war I'd want an Aimpoint. Extremely durable and the battery life is legendary. I have a Comp M4S on my SHTF gun.

But for competition use (tactical rifle/3 gun matches) the EOTech is MUCH faster. The 65MOA circle is a lot faster to acquire and the 1MOA dot is much more precise for Long Distance work. You get the best of both worlds.

I run a 557 and 3X magnifier and the only time it hasn't worked was when I forgot to turn it on before the buzzer
