m1a collection?

Gonna be expensive to do
Don't forget the National Match model,
The White Feather
Crazy Horse,
Bush Rifle
Lots and lots of models out there but if you want to buy them all and can afford it...
Can I be your friend?
ETA Try starting with a Springfield Loaded model
Or an LRB.sigpicNRA Benefactor Member -
Lol. I don't think I would get every single one. Lol. It be interesting to see if anyone has all of emComment

Collecting M1A's would take some deep, deep pockets. I used to have a Standard and a Scout for a while but wound up selling the scout.
I would like to find a national match one day to replace the one I had many years ago.MLC member.

You aren't crazy OP. They are great rifles. If oyu can afford to own them then go for it.
I would start with an LRB or Rockola build off USGI parts though for a first rifle.Comment

Have two LRB's, one Springfield, one Fulton if that counts. Springfield is a NM and Fulton a Service all USGI Parts ( except barrels ) when good parts were still found in excellent.
Both LRB's 100% USGI new in package parts, one a Service and one is an M25 built up by Lau / McMillian National Match http://www.texasbrigadearmory.com/m25.htmComment

Ah that moment when you fell in love with the m1a platform and you wanted to own all the models
I was like this but also knew the reality of two scenarios.
1. Not enough money to buy all m1as.
2. I still wanted and was very interested in other rifles.
So I did the best thing I could. I got a scout model that is pretty much an in between a standard and a Socom. I love my scout m1a, funny this post came up, I just bought a Harris bipod s-brm last night lolright when I was getting good at controlling my breath/flinching and my groups were getting tighter too. Can't wait to see how much the bipod improves my groups
Almost done! Still need to buy the U.S. Gi internals , however my m1a is over a year old and has been rock solid!Comment

I did have all the four listed at one time. Traded the Socom 16, but after seeing the Blackfeather stock, it makes me want to get another one. Eyes are also on a National Match and a LRB M25 if I can swing it. The M1a's I have are Springfield Armory, and even though they have been getting some bad press lately, mine work flawlessly. Of course there are more accurate, ergonomic, less expensive (and whatever else you want to add as an argument not to buy M1a's), rifles out there. If you really like the platform, what does it matter? From a collector's standpoint, M1a's don't really lose their value, so you can pretty much get out of them for what you have in them, if you buy them right.Comment

I'll probably end up getting the scout and the match and call it a day. I already own a standard and a socom 16Comment
