Well, this is a 3rd generation Rifle and it has features we're not used to.

It points well. I'am an AR guy. ARs need lube. This Rifle uses AR mags.
The thin barrel isn't an issue. It's chrome already.

    1. It is piston driven. Doesn't need lube; ran 10,000 rounds between cleaning in tests. Several Countries have adopted this plastic machine (called the Beretta 160) in their lineup.

    2. A real important bonus is you can remove the barrel in 5 seconds. The barrel is CHF and chrome lined. Push two buttons and it slides out......

    3. .300 blackout barrels are available shortly, among other caliber conversions that Beretta has coming.

    4. You can push a button and she will eject right or left. The bolt has two extractors.

    5. You can lever the Bolt Handle to the left side or right side in seconds.

    6. Ambi safety of course

    7. She has a two position Gas Block for the Piston system. S for standard military 5.56 and N for lower powered Wolf, Tula...etc. tests show she runs 100 percent. Easy to rotate that knob too.

May the Bridges I burn light the way.

Fewer people are killed with all rifles each year (323 in 2011) than with shotguns (356), hammers and clubs (496), and hands and feet (728).

Yeah...I just put a bag on her head.

She grows on you, mainly for the incredible engineering and features.

that's what hooked me into the test run. but after using it for a while I didn't care for it. the controls were very unnatural and the under trigger guard mag release was terrible. 99% of us will never even change a barrel or convert to a different caliber so to market that for civilian use is silly in my opinion.

it did shoot real nice though. I hated the stock iron sights that come on it. although they were accurate as hell.

If I wasn't blinded in my right eye then I might agree with you but I am kinda forced to be a lefty.. That is why I have to work with what I got.. I don't want a lefty ar cause they arnt a true left handed weapon, bolt release ect.. I like the Tavor and the arx for the lefty eject though and the ability to manipulate either way.. Just can't make up my mind.. The reason I like the arx more is because it an go left or right with no tools or disassembly..

holy ****, what a bad ***! good on you for not giving up and continuing to shoot and be active in the firearm community with a disability like that.

the ARX 100 is a very well designed weapon that is the truth. I just think for the money it's not a very good deal, just like the SCAR (although, I must admit that I haven't fired/used a SCAR yet).

actually bought the 22lr version on a whim and loved it. Just had to get the 223 brother. Kept my ear to the ground for its release and as soon it was out on the market, had my out of state shop get me one and had Darin himself at Bullet Button put on the Cali compliance hardware on. Feels lighter than my AR's, definitely recoils a tad more, but ergos feel good, and just like its 22lr little brother, its pretty accurate out the box. So far, has fired flawlessly with brass and steel.

I spent 2 days at SHOT looking at all the "new generation" rifles to find the "best" lefty-friendly rifle I could find and the ARX was it. Everybody else has something missing. For instance, the SCAR is pretty good, but it only has a left side bolt release (and doesn't look like a BAD lever could be implemented onto it easily).

Beretta ARX-100 = Made in the USA, semi-auto only civilian market version of the Beretta ARX-160

Beretta ARX-160 = designed and made, per request by Italian Military, as a replacement for the Beretta AR-70/90

                      So, in that context...
                      AR-70 -> AR-70/90 -> ARX-160 = M-16A1 -> M16A4 -> ????
