just to throw a wrench in it. krebs in no way influenced the tws hand guard. the design is unique to tws. no one else has ever incorporated the gas tube into the rail system. no one else has been able to put the hand guard top rail at the same plane as the top cover. just those two thing are completely TWS.

For sure, I have the TWS set, it's light and looks cool. I also have the krebs, it's built like a tank, and weights as much. I also have a Midwest rail for my Krink. (Midwest rails have been a favorite for years on my ARs)

It's all about what ya like, and what's gonna last/make you happy. My 5.56 bastard build is gonna get another TWS set, this time with the rear leaf dogleg.

There is another guy out there that is modifying polish top covers with a left hand non reciprocating cocking handle that is based off a L1A1 cocking handle. That looks pretty cool as well.

You do realize that the TWS gen1 is a copy of that $300 Krebs rail....and that most of the "Tactical" Ak stuff on the market place can be traced to his stuff.

Some guys have made improvments and some have not. Is his **** expensive? yep. I have his new Keymod....Do I love it? meh, driving reason I bought it is I did not want to cut off the handguard retainer on my SGL20.

And you do know that the Krebs rail is a knock off of the Polish Beryl system from around 25 years ago?



I thought that was so cool I made one for myself, but in 30 cal.



The tough part was the rear trunnion. The real rear trunnions are in the 2-300$ range when I was looking for them. So I made my own. It has a small latch pin that has to be perfect in order for the rail to fit and line up correctly.

Some nice stuff definitely but remember guys, this is a business for guys like Krebs and Fuller. It's time for them to make money. No need to be a hater. Make something up yourself and charge enough to make a living off it. That's the American dream. Do something you love and make money doing it. I wish I could do that.
