Why "in the quality of the finishing in the backstrap area above the grip", of course.

He is saying the Stag "beats out", or has a "better" quality of finishing in the backstrap area above the grip than the Double Star does. In fact he said that this was the only area that the Stag beat out the Double Star.

I'm sure that if the Stag had outlasted the Double Star then he would have posted something like "The only places where the Stag beats out the DoubleStar is in the quality of the finishing in the backstrap area above the grip and the lack of catastrophic failure."

But it's late. I need to drink 15 raw eggs and get some sleep before my rimfire tactical assault class tomorrow morning at o' five hundred hours. The "platform" is only as good as its "operator", don't you know.

They're all fine receivers, they'll all function perfectly. I just feel...and I own BOTH, that the DoubleStar is cosmetically superior to the Stag. If you'd like I can take pictures illustrating how each one is better than or inferior to the other in terms of *finish*. I said nothing about function...they'll all work perfectly I'm sure.

I'm a very AR person when it comes to fit and finish, I hold myself to nearly impossibly high standards. So whenever I see other peoples work I can't help but nit-pick at it. This would make me a huge flaming D!CK if it weren't for the fact that I'm that hard and then some on myself ;-)
