    What rail system would work

I want a free float rail system that I can mount a leupold VX3l 3.5 -10x 50mm on. What iron sights to used. I want my AR to reach out 300 yards .

This is my first build. Why do I want to used the the VX because it is collecting dust in a box.

Why would you want your glass on your rail instead of your upper receiver?

Ok thanks, used the wrong term. What would I need to mount the scope to the receive? What type of iron sights do you suggest for rear and front sights?

                Cantilever mount.
On a budget, go with a Burris pepr.
If you are willing to spend more check out ADM or LaRue.

For Iron sights, look into a Matech or KAC USMC contract 600M rear sight. Magpul MBUS Pro would be my pick for the front sight, either that or a barrel mounted YHM gas block/flip up sight.

GG&G is a quality mount too. Magpul MBUS for the irons. If any.

Bobro is an excellent mount that requires no adjustment to tighten on any milspec rail

If you want to go with rings the burris X-tra high rings for about $60-$70 have served me well on my 20" heavy barrel AR.
