Any Use Plastic Bullets for Home Defense?

I was looking for bulk rounds when I ran across this:

Plastic bullets! 472 ft/lbs is the force of pistol ammo. I am guessing the bullet will disintegrate rapidly when it hits a wall.

Has anyone fired any of these rounds?

an 11 grain rounded plastic projectile isnt going to stop any real threat

not to mention the 5-10% failure rate in the reviews

I wouldn't use them. Besides, they won't cycle a semi.

i had a friend have me buy some to use with his rem 700, while it was fun putting rounds down range at 100 yards, if it was windy you'd miss your target.

also he had like maybe a 15% FTE rate, we'd had to use a cleaning rod and push out the stuck spent cartridge.


although it was funny everyone walking by and going "what the darn hell is that? blue bullets?"

Notice how it's called "practice ammo" and not "defend your life ammo". Hell no I wouldn't use this crap for defense.

I'll take my Blackie Collins plastic knives over using training bullets to defend myself. That said, plastic training bullets can be really fun to plink with. But, I wouldn't buy anything from SG even if I was paid to.
