Mossy, attend an Appleseed event the first chance you get, if you haven't already at least.

Sure, eye's are bad, legs are old and bent, ears are grizzled, nose is knackered, but it will surely help you out if it's been a while since or ever.

    Thanks for sharing!

I have a 14.7" on the way too.

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks & corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."

Kinda like what I just threw together a couple of days ago.... used a Spikes 14.5 lightweight barreled upper though (quite a bit more than a PSA premium), with a PSA premium LBK with the good 7075 tube... but chucked the PSA stock in favor of a Colt stock (not in the pic)... I NEED to go shoot it....

Yeah, I have astigmatism, my eyes are crap from working on a computer all day, every day and surfing for most of my life. The passage in my post was adapted from a scene from Monty Python's Life of Brian, the knackered nose bit etc....

If you want to get a good idea of the accuracy of the rifle the first thing you need to do is shoot some quality ammo. Bulk stuff and russian steel is fine for banging steel and fooling around at the range. If you want to see what kind of groups the rifle is really capable of shoot some GMM or Black hills 69gr or 77gr.

I just added a PSA 14.7" pinned & welded to my collection also... and my rears are pretty far over on both that one and a 16" I built earlier last year.

How did you know when to stop hammering? Weren't you concerned about damaging anything, or is this the preferred method for front sight realignment?

I just lept checking the cowitness on the rds.

Many people recommend this method, even gunsmiths.

Some even recommend sitting on the rifle and using a screwdriver to pry the FSB over.
