"I had to shift the rear sight quite a ways to the left to lower 1/3 cowitness to the sighted in red dot. So something on the rifle is off, but it didn't prevent me from zeroing."

I received my PSA upper recently and had the same issue. My FSB is off to the left. I noticed it when trying to align a new muzzle brake with the FSB.

i'm certain the upper is more capable than I am.

that being said, if i can hit center mass at 100 yards i'm happy.

dtrump: I have the covers on my MISS12G2. But honestly, I'm starting to like this one better for simplicity's sake. it's just sooo much more agile

Were you shooting off a bench or offhand?

you know what though? i'm okay that my groups aren't great.

99% of the time I go to cordova the 25y lanes to the left are all full of scoped ARs and they never leave, and post groups as "good" as my 100 yard groups.

The 100 yard is always empty except for a few guys. So I'm trying to improve on that aspect of my marksmanship

You should try it with a scope; older guys need the help. Then you'll have a better idea what the gun and ammo are capable of. 9x will be like shooting irons at 11 yards.

i think that admission is a first on any firearms-related forum. bravo!

you mean to tell me you cant do dime-sized 10-shot groups at 300yds off-hand, with the sun in your eyes, standing on one foot, and your shooting hand in a cast? how dare you, sir!!

seriously, the way some people talk, its like you have no right to own a rifle if you make a grapefruit sized group at 50 yards. we should all embrace the fact that we are all out there shooting, trying to better our skills!

they're probably the guys who never leave the 25 yard line.

I'm not even kidding; the range can be packed with mall ninjas on the 25 yard line but the 100 yard is empty.

AMEN brother! I frequent certain cigar forums too. Some smoke nothing but fine habanos, and some swisher and white owl. In the end we're all lovers of the leaf.

                        (ok, I'm somewhere in between)

it has the mo-reaper; the ball post is very slender. so combined with the peep sight i added, it's probably a little more precise than the 3moa dot

Nice. I've got a PSA 14.7" too w/ a pinned extended A2 flash hider, but I changed to a free-float rail, I'm using a cheapo 3-9 scope; W/ a bipod I've been able to hit steel at 300 yards; though not every time. I've got the 45 deg. BUIS for backup.
