    you can try POF https://www.rainierarms.com/?page=sh...roduct_id=4031

Or build your own. The main components in mine are JP Enterprises.

        And the website says :
P308 UPPERS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH POF-USA P308 LOWERS ONLY.

The POF lower has AR-15 sized pivot and rear takedown holes/pins and when installing a DPMS upper receiver, you need a sleeve to reduce the ID of the DPMS upper so it will accept into a POF lower.

Meaning...a POF upper must have smaller holes relative to a DPMS lower. So, you would basically have to drill a bigger hole into the POF upper section where the pivot and rear takedown pins would insert into....lot of work, but if you really want a POF upper, it can be done...i think.

If I am mistaken in my logic, please correct me.

            Thanks! I'll check them out!

I'll be doing long range shooting on this one solely, I decided. Will be doing a 24-26" barrel.
I may be completely wrong but don't automatically assume a longer barrel length will be more accurate. If you do a search here you may think otherwise. Just my 2 cents

I have a DPMS SASS upper, it is sub-moa with surplus ammo, however it is very heavy. With some hand loads and a better scope the upper is easily 1/2 moa

I saw that, so decided to go with an 18-20" barrel.

Nice, where did you get it from?

JP enterprise is awesome. I used a lot of their parts in my build.

Didn't state what the rifle's purpose is. 308 battle rifle? 308 SASS style?
Want a tack driver, or just want to throw big lead down range?

There's a lot of good uppers on the market, but it's so incredibly easy to just mix and match and build your own upper. Only difference is, you'll have to torque your barrel nut, and you'll have to check your headspace. That's it. If your local gunsmith / shop is cool about it, they'll just let you borrow their headspace jig for 2 minutes and check go/no-go and you're outta there. (I usually buy a box or two of ammo so I don't feel like a complete free-loader.)
I've done it 5 times now on various rifles and I won't ever buy a completed barreled upper again.

In this case, I'm using a SI Defense lower, coupled with a CMMG flat side upper. It was a high dollar build, but I'm getting the 1/3 MOA grouping I originally set out to achieve.
My second build is a 308 battle rifle, and still have easily 1 MOA out of it. Upper was considerably cheaper than buying a custom 308 upper from another company. It's just not as nice as this build turned out.
Just curious who's barrel you used and what length, under .5 MOA is a nice barrel, I just ordered a 24 in Krieger in 308 12 twist.

                    Barrel length

When considering barrel length to shoot distance one must also take into the account of the cartridge they are using. 308 is a decent round but starts falling off around 900 and 1000 yards. With that in mind for most purposes unless you plan on shooting on a national level a 18" barrel will do you fine.

Makes sense, just worried about weakening those areas by removing material.

I don't reload, and all I'd use would be any 308 ammo I could find. I think 18 inches will meet my needs. Thanks for the input!

Focus on the barrel. If a upper has a good barrel it's a good upper. Don't get caught up in all the other junk the barrel and BCG is the heart and lungs of an AR.

Other than that I don't have any more suggestions other than what others have already suggested. Didn't research complete 308 uppers all that much.
