    I've repaired and rebuilt a couple of RAW AKs before. Those recievers are pretty much priceless and are impossible to replace. Drilling out and replacing rails isn't overly complicated, the hardest part is saving the center support.

        You can if you are careful demilling it, but with the price of flats, why not just go buy a flat?

          I have several receivers sitting around that I removed and sold the parts kits.

          Removing the 10 rivet heads and drilling out the tg rivets only takes a few minutes.

            Soft flats certainly are easier to remove from trunions than heat treated receivers...
