I'm currently running a A.R.M.S. 41B HERE which will fit. Mine is .750" at the mounting point as well. It's very stable and can fold down. Once it's tightened it won' budge. Bad side is the price at around $150... You might be able to find an Armalite A2 clamp on somewhere but I had no such luck.

I have the exact same upper.

I guess my solution is to just not sling. Up so tight

pretend I don't follow the AR culture. Are you serious that retro rifles are considered hipster?

            Oh dear.

That is the usual process AR owners go through. I started out needing to have the most tricked out possible rifle, newest rails, grips, stocks, muzzle breaks, ect.

After going through all that now I prefer my BCM 16 inch FSB upper with just a Moe handguard and Aimpoint Pro.

              Sometimes simpler is better.

bummer. So if I put expensive accessories on an AR, I'm a mall ninja. If I make it simple I am a hipster. Can't win.

I'm starting a mall ninja clubhouse.. Requirements are going to be..

Uniform: multicam/marpat/5.11's pants... (You can wear Target t-shirts though)
Knife: Rambo type (with compass, fish hooks, and sewing supplies)
Gun: AR with Free Float RAIL //Rail must include VFG, FG, light-laser (PEQ, DBAL, or Airsoft knockoff), BUIS

My question to you is, "How are you gonna join the club if you don't have a rail?" Think about it long, think about it hard. Membership is open for a limited time, so act now!

                  ...

I like rails.. It gives me the choice to add stuff. I dont mind the weight, but if i want to mount stuff it's feasible. Beyond this, I really like the 'feel' of a thinner tube style.. Alpha VTAC, MI SSgen2 series.. Ive always hated the bulkiness of real M4 handguards..
                  Aloha snackbar!

Armalite makes a clamp type A2 sight for @ 40.00 Thats great for a mock Dissy. The down side is it does add a bit of weight to the front end especially mounted on the end of the barrel.
                              Can DI AR's run dirty?

                              Palmetto State Armory Suppliers revealed
