Since the whole 922r thing is such a grey area in general I'm not going to post on the interweb about how I made my rifle legal. Ill explain it to the ATF if it comes down to it but I don't feel like explaining myself to Commander Warf in a pimp suit.

Tapco mags work flawlessly, I recommend them.

        Found this:

"SKS rifles which do not have an ability to accept a
detachable magazine are not semiautomatic assault weapons
as defined in 18 U.S.C. section 921(a)(30) and they are not
subject to the provisions of 18 U.S.C. section 922(v)."

Could be wrong or out dated..I'm sure someone here will correct me if I'm wrong.
Even if this has any bearing on 922r, which I don't think it does, Yugos aren't SKS's.

        They are M59's.

        And Worf is way cool

That's like saying a Bushmaster MOE or Carbon 15 isn't an AR15 and or M4. It like saying your Chinese SKS isn't an SKS it's a Type 56.

Yugoslavia made SKS's that are dubbed M59/66 and they still fall under the title "SKS". Your really reaching here..

I've considered cutting the muzzlebrake off and recrowning the barrel. That alone would make the rifle light, handy and quick to aim I think.

I did almost exactly the same with my first Chinese, except no AFG and it takes removable mags. My next one is going to be fully original. These are fun rifles to work on!

SKS is the only rifle I wish did have purchased but never did. Damn I remember cheap sks's too. Liking the tactical setup. Looks sweet.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.
