LMT Sopmod stock. Why is it so expensive???

Why is this stock so expensive, compared to most stocks ie. regular m4,carbine, or the good ol a2 stock. It just looks like a regular m4 stock with side saddles to me.

I've been contemplating purchasing the UBR once magpul steps up production, but I've been hearing that the LMT is far superior.

As for the magpul UbR with all it's features, I can understand the price tag on that one, but i don't understand the MSRP for the LMT.

    1. LMT SOPMOD in use by Navy Seals
    2. You buy LMT SOPMod
    3. Someone asks 'hey, what kind of stock is that?'. You answer with pride, 'Same one in use by Navy Seals'. 'Cool!'

    Make sense?

The SOPMOD is a sweet stock. It is super tight and it has storage for your batteries. It has a perfect check weld for proper sight alignment. And it looks cool. I have never used the UBR but I love my SOPMOD!!

The SOPMOD is the nicest telescoping stock I have used. It is rock solid with no play. It is made from some kind of higher grade polymer, not cheap plastic. The cheek rest is amazing, so much better than a normal stock. The UBR is cool, new, exciting and all that, but I would still take a SOPMPD over it.

          That is my humble opinion.

I love my SOPMOD. I don't think I could use my rifle with another buttstock on it. It just wouldn't feel the same.

guys, dont count out the Vltor EMod, i own 2, and love them

they are much cheaper than the sopmod, they have more storage room, and modular cheek welds.

I own a VLTOR eMod stock (the poor man's SOPMOD), and it has a little bit of wiggle. I'm guessing the SOPMOD's don't have that wiggle. Otherwise I love my VLTOR.

I just installed one of these and of the half dozen different stocks I have used, this one is really my favorite. Lots of great features, and super cheek weld.

Yep, no wiggle. Locks into place and doesn't move at all. Additionally, the cheek rest won't rip out facial hairs for those who have lots of facial hair in the area where the cheek would normally meet the cheek rest on the buttstock.
