For fixed sights it's had to beat a good quality carry handle like the one Bravo Company makes. My Troy flip sights are certainly no where near as nice as the BCM carry handle, since the carry handle gives me elevation adjustments as well, and provides a decent handle and protection.

Magpul is actually a good rear. YHM is good, too. Troy might have better resale value.

Both Magpul and YHM can fold down with small aperture in position - personal preference, but I find that a plus.

Troy folding sight is hands down the best. I sell them all, have used them all, and Troy is the winner for a laundry list of reasons. Use them on all my ARs.

Troy folding or DD fixed. Buy once cry once. Folding if you might want to put a real scope on or fixed if you want to run a red dot later

OP, yes, the Matech only has the small aperture. I also have Troys di-optic sights (diamond) matched with HK front and prefer that over the Matech. Hence, I am recommending the Troy sights.

However, Matech does the job well with elevation adjustments from 200 - 600 meters. I will not get rid of my Matech but if I were to buy another set of sights, I will replicate my Troy sights set up.

You can find KAC 600 Meter rear sights on Ebay for about $40-$50. Some are used, others new in packaging that are supposedly overstock from a USMC contract.

KAC micros and Matech steel construction sights with elevation adjustments that will not break or deform if dropped are best IMHO. MagPul Pros rears are UGLY but are also steel.

Amazon is even selling counterfeit Magpul products as genuine Magpul. They are well done fakes too.

The ARMS flip up sights are not bad either and they make both poly and steel for a good price.
