^This. As far as I'm concerned.

Noticed it asked from who you got the firearm from...... Heck I didn't keep that information. Will the FFL work for this?

Another way this legislation needs to be litigated!!!

I'm not sure how that will work with the new law, but you need a out-of state address.

Not if that's the serial number.

Unique my a**...I think there's going to be a whole buttload of "Cal: multi" "SN: MOLON LABE 123456" or something similar getting registered. I mean really...millions of ARs? There's bound to be dupes.

Dupe in serial number alone is meaningless. You need the name of manufacturer, city, and model as well. If all of those are dupes, well that could be interesting. . .

How accurate do we have to be with the Purchase Date? Exact, or do they just want the year and month?

Yes indeed. I'm imagining a bunch of 80%'s being engraved and registered with "SN 000001". And then, having a WHOLE SAFE full of identical receivers/rifles with "SN 000001" !!!

Great question. How in the hell are people going to remember or find out when they purchased their rifles, even the where or from whom part will be difficult for many.

A discussion with an FFL informed me that a single lower could be registered between multiple individuals (in this case father & sons).

I wonder if that is true.

Not sure if related, but where does a multi caliber marked lower built in .22 lr fit in?

                                Model: Ar-15
                                City: Los Angeles
                                Caliber: Multi
                                SN: NA
                                MFG: Self
Date: XXXXX (This one will be unique)

Minus mfg date, how many of these do you think are in LA? how about Bakersfield? How about every other big city in CA? Gonna be fun. Build parties? There will be 20 with the same mfg date. Times 50 build parties over the past years that's 1000 of these things with the same identifiers minus 20 unique build dates. The database is gonna be a glorious mess.

How many people, when they bought ONE 80 bought like 20 of them?

Now that we have Calguns to help registrants (God forbid), it's gonna be very interesting.

Let's just hope the law does not pass. Have you read the restrictions on possession location for RAW? it's pretty strict against those of us who are actually law abiding citizens.
