    AR15 barrel choices.

Looking for opinions on ar barrels. I'm leaning towards the .223 Wylde chamber. I've found criterion and ar stoner barrels online. I've only found mixed reviews on both of them. Anyone shot either barrels or seen them?

Criterion or White Oak Armament if cost is a concern. Otherwise, I like JP.

Yep, there is almost no reason in my opinion now to not get a barrel in .223 Wylde. You can shoot all ammo without worry. JP upper on my first AR, its accurate, Haven't gone to stretch its legs yet, but under 100 its very tight groups on winchester .223. Inch or slightly over off a rested position, but no bipod or dedicated rest.

On a similar note where can I get a barrel in 7.62x39 that is fluted and chrome lined besides YHM?

I just bought and installed an AR-Stoner 18" mid-length 5R Stainless Steel .223 Wylde Fluted from Midway for 256 shipped. It is sick! Looks very nice and so far shoots good (has been out shooting once with irons). Though these iron sights I have are pretty bad. I'll know if this barrel is the cats meow once I get my scope!

Noveske makes some of the best AR15 barrels money can buy.

It really depends on what features you are looking for.

Do you want stainless, chrome lined, or Melonited?
Do you want something for general purposes or something for 3gun or targets from a bench?

AR barrels come in all different flavors and its up to you on what you want it do before even deciding on what brand or make it is.

                            For chrome lined carbine barrel:

Bravocompany, Daniel Defense, Palmetto/JSE have some wilson 1:7 twists occasionally

For a more target oriented barrel:

White Oak, Bravocompany Stainless/Criterion from Brownells, Rainier Ultra Match, Douglas from Compass Lake

JP, Noveske, Krieger, Lilja, Satern, Hart, Brux all make great barrels but they are more expensive than the above

ARPs barrels are one of the best deals around.
