Jury rig a c clamp or something similar and press it in slowly.
Watched a buddy do that with some oversized DPMS pinsThe California Moderate Centrist Militia member in exile

I'm gonna fiddle with it and try to get my hands on another pin to see if its smaller. Franklin armory's customer service has been kind of lame. They said I could send the lower to them and pay all shipping charges for them to push a pin in after they informed me their holes in their lowers are too small. That or they said I could take it to a competent gunsmith and have them do it. Which was kind of a back handed dis.....I guess there is no such thing as customer service anymore....thats what I get for trying to support a california company.....sad
ive built plenty of lowers and know how to do it. This is the first time ive had any problems. Ive used psa lpk's a lot and havent had any problems in the past.Nothin says hate like a .308Comment

2 years ago I have a similar problem with a JD Machine forged lower, I used the Dremel with a really small diamond bit to enlarge the hole in the lower just a tad to get the roll pin started, then tap it with a roll pin punch all the way in.Comment

I built two Franklin billet lowers for a friend. The bolt catch roll pin went in just fine. I had a problem with the hole for the safety selector plunger/pin. The little brass pin wouldn't fit in the lower. I took a drill bit that just barley fit in the hole and ran it back and forth through the hole in the lower. It took some of the anodizing off and allowed the pin to slide freely in the lower. If I were you I'd try to find a long drill bit that just fits the hole and run it back and forth through the hole so that the pin will fit easier. I usually pinch that roll pin a little bit on the end that I start it on just so it starts easier.Comment

If the difference is minimal, the roll pin will go in once its started. That's why I've beveled the roll pin and still do when I come across this problem. Much easier than dealing with drilling the hole bigger or dealing with crap customer service. As long as the roll pin fits the bolt catch you're gtg. Again, only with a minimal difference. Use your discretion of courseLast edited by Jason25; 09-18-2013, 3:08 PM.Comment

Im gonna try another pin. I usually smash one end a little and bevel the edge to get it started easier and did that but this one just doesnt want to cooperate. If it doesnt work im gonna return the lower. I dont have time to deal with this bs especially with the lovely bills going in for browns signature.Nothin says hate like a .308Comment

My first build was a Franklin Armory lower with a PSA LPK and I ran into the same problem. Like what some of the others said, I had to pinch one end of the pin to get it to start in the hole. Then I used pliers to squeeze it in the rest of the way. Worked pretty well actually.Comment

This is the way I do it but I use the end of the pin that is the most rounded and I oil the crap out of it. If you can get it started, it's not too big.sigpicComment
