If your in so-cal check out ammo bros, I think they have a wasr 10 and a lancaster or vector somthin like that. but the had at least 3 different kinds

tried them both but they only have Lancasters........How do the Lancasters compare?

Popular consensus says the Wasr-10's are bottom of the barrel AK's, which means the Lancasters are going to be better in terms of finish and quality of build.
I cannot offer an opinion based on experience of the Lancasters. But I can say the Wasr-10 which I shot worked fine, the wood finish just not as good as say other AK's.

dude good luck i had a wild hair up my @$$ a week ago and thought to myself i should pick up an ak,and nobody has them. so im just gonna check back in a month or so and see whats going on but now im thinking i may go lancaster instead of wasr.

Part of the reason is people are in a panic about the upcoming election and are buying them up and Romania is behind on producing the WASRs so more should be coming in soon. The kits are drying up and there are less builds. This has caused the prices on most AKs to go way up. Hopefully soon the ATF reform will talke effect and the kits with barrels will be coming into the country again. Who knows maybe if Heller goes the way we want soon complete full auto AKs will be coming in but one can only hope.

all of the WASR's i've held had a very crappy finish and goddawful wood.
they also rattle like a piggy bank, A LOT of wag wobble...
the vector is your best bet since wasrs are reject military rifles.
that being said, an AK is an AK. it will work no matter what you do to it...

As far as I know.....Romainia, no more AKs...

Parts kits....not much your going to do w/ that....if it's not sporting....there are several 1000s sitting there but....

My Wasr's are ugly, that's why I like 'em. Oh and cheap. That too. High end AK's=lipstick on the pig.
