Tapco AK G2 Double hook trigger group, Hogue AK pistol grip, Tapco Intrafuse colapsable stock and forearm. Six US parts (not including the Tapco US made 10 rd mag) according to 922R list

My question is, will I run afoul of Cal DOJ by making these conversions? I find nothing in the licensing paperwork or online at DOJs's website addressing this issue!
I am curious if you have ever been hassled by the police when out shooting?

Also, do you carry a copy of your registration paperwork with you when you do shoot?

It was my understanding, and correct me if I am wrong that you sent in a form and $25 and that was it. How does one know if they really entered your gun into the magic data base in the sky?

One other question for you pros:

Are there any differences between a MAK90 and the MAK90 Sporter? Or are they physically identical in every way except for the name? I think all the ones I have shot were Sporters, some were it had been electro penciled in and others stamped like mine is. I cannot remember ever seeing or shootin one that only said MAK90.

I remember my old Mak 90 had a really nice original trigger. Much better than the Tapcos I have..
