I'm looking for used or cheap parts for an AR-15 build

    Hey guys,

I am posting here so I don't bog down the private party sales part of the forum. I'm slowly building an AR-15. right now I'm looking for a used or really cheap upper receiver and barrel.

I'd even greatly appreciate any advice on where to go from here... where to look.. where to post.. etc...

So far I have a lower receiver and the bullet button.

    Thanks!

Wait a year or so and prices will come down.

well right now is a pretty decent time to buy seeing as how inventory in most shops is leveling out. The lower will be the important thing but since you already have one i'd be patient and wait for the really good deals to pop up.

I believe that they'll be another run on long guns here in the upcoming months as long gun registration comes closer and closer.

Best advice: Just wait and be patient... the good deals will always be out there. You just gotta be ready.

I see really good deals right now. A $600 AR is quite doable again. Yesterday I saw a $119 BCG and the other day I saw a complete upper including BCG and CH for $399

                Well here's an update.

I got my bullet button. The lower is waiting for me to pick up at the FFL. My lower parts kit and stock assembly is on the way!

I spent about $470 for everything except for:
                          -sights
                          -lower
                          -laser/light
