Yeah, a google search turned up the same thread on AR-15 that you found, and I noticed they discussed the 17 Mach 2 upper on Cheaper Than Dirt. 17 Mach 2 is nice, but getting the added oomph from the 17HMR seems more in line with this thread, and would seem to work nicely with the silly CA gun laws since its a high performance rimfire cartridge.

Couldn't find anything about that 17HummAR with a google search. Kept insisting I was looking for "Hummer" and wanted to show me links to SUV's.

You need to change your "safe search" option on Google.....

Okay, so with this being a rimfire upper, why wouldn't they ship it to CA? DOJ FUD?

Sure were. Now how many of those designs were semi-auto? Even the first auto loading guns used mechanical manipulation of the catridge rather than a force slap via spring tension.

The same reason they weren't selling carry handles and slings to California (Sportsmansguide too): It goes to an AR and those are illegal here. Didn't you know?
