    Polytech M14 Return Home

After 10 weeks away, I finally received my Polytech M14 back from Warbird's Gunsmithing. The rifle received a full makeover with an expertly done USGI bolt conversion, a slew of USGI parts and a nice mil spec parkerized refinishing of the barreled action. Every part is now USGI minus the receiver, barrel and op-rod. These pieces are known to be done very well by the Chinese so I will leave them as is until they require replacing.

Edit: The muzzle brake is Springfield Inc.

I can't wait to burn through some hoarded ammo this weekend. This one is sure to be a keeper.

    Pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Makes me want to do something similar to my unfired Polytech...

Did Warbird supply the USGI parts or did you have to collect them yourself?

Also, thanks for sharing the pictures! They're inspiring!

So you guys think this rifle once converted is on par with a lrb?

Basically should I keep saving for lrb or look for a polytech then upgrade it?
