    Palmetto State Armory Torture Test

Several months ago I asked if anyone has seen a PSA torture test, but found nothing. Looks like PSA is working on one now. I did find this link which does have a teaser video on post #11, but from the pics by PSA that absolutely beat the crap out of this poor rifle and literally drug it behind a vehicle at high speed.

    Can DI AR's run dirty?

Ya still waiting, they won't really reply with details when it's going to be released. Not sure what the hold up is, vid looks like it was already all filmed.

Maybe it couldn't stand up to the testing. Maybe they got ahead of themselves with the trailer, lol.

Jk, my PSA premium upper is a tank

It did not hold up to the test . The pic show a bent and split lower mag well . My bet is they broke it when they had the 2 cars run over it at about 30mph . It looked like they ran right over the receivers . I don't see any mil-spec receivers handle that . I've seen cars run over the stock or quad rail and still work but directly over the receivers at that speed . IMO no way not going to survive . I will add that I would buy a PSA rifle in a heart beat and would not hesitate to use it as my primary SD/HD weapon

I write almost everything in a jovial manner regardless of content . If that's not how you took it please try again

What do these even prove? Nothing against PSA, I even think the DD torture test is silly and proves nothing.

I could understand perhaps showing off a torture test of a proprietary new part that's supposed to be an improvement over a part prone to failure, but these don't prove anything unless it's something like a military or LE weapon trial where they administer the test against other manufacturers under the same conditions and round count.

I agree a MIl/LEO trial with mutiple brands would be best, IMHO it does show how rugged PSA rifles are. I hate reading/hearing my "Top Tier is better than yours because it's reversed engineered from a manufacture that uses the TDP" Unless there is a independent tester all of these articles and videos have a possibility of being rigged. Fanboys will always be Fanboys. Take the MagPul MBUS sights. Seems like everyone that is brand specific said that the MBUS was a pieces of crap and had a high probability of breaking if dropped on the sight itself. After an article came out where BUIS sights where dropped on concrete and all of the "Top Tier" brands all bent and had serious MOA shifts while the MBUS had no shift or damage to it at all made a lot of Fanboys panties bunch up real quick. A lot of comments where "well it'll be real rare to drop your rifle on concrete and most of the time if you did it would be on soft dirt so I'm not worried"?????
This is a guest post from Andrew Tuohy, a former Navy Corpsman and small-arms enthusiast. He wanted to see how three popular, rear back up iron sights performed after dropping them on concrete. The results are pretty interesting. Here's Andrew's Review:
